Intellectual Property Policy

Employer owned Intellectual Property that has been developed by employees during their employment is protected when there is an Intellectual Property clause in place.

Employers need to clarify with employees that any learnings, discover, documentation and development belongs to the employer and may not be used in future by the employee.

Having this document in place avoids any potential misunderstandings about ownership of any aspect of business worked on by the employee during their employment with the business.

All policy documents must be clear and compliant – and made available to all employees.
